My daughter is in AG (gifted) student, who loves to sing. She wants to be a singer. Ok now this is the problem. She is going to middle school (6-8or 10). She wants to go to a school thats in the Arts (visual and or proforming). I want her to go to a school that has more of an accelerrated curriculum. What should i do?

It is possible to do both - my daughter was in a similar boat. She stayed in the gifted program and remained active in theater and dance. Look for a good school that offers both.

If she's smart, she will learn anywhere, so why not let her be happy with school....think of it this way...if you were the best person doing whatever at work, would you want to be assigned to do more of it than the other employees? She should not be bored at school, but not pushed to do massive amounts of work either....remember she's still a child and deserves to BE a child.
