I worked in the clothing industry for many years and I went to the shows and did the ordering of the shirts and clothing. It doesn't depend on the size of the shirt as much as the quality. The higher the quality the heavier the shirt. They count the quality by the number of stitches per square inch.
Any way. Your lower quality sweatshirt can weigh as little as 7 ounces while a very high quality sweatshirt can weigh as much as 11 or 12 ounces. there is just no way for us to know.
