It all depends if you are short on chips or if you have some chips to work with, also if someone has rasied and re-raised before the flop then you might want to pick a better situation to go all in with. If i'm short on chips then i like to go all in with hands like k-q suited, 9-10, and any ace. As far as going all in with big hands like a-k or a big pair like queens i like to just raise 3 times the blinds and get some action on my hand.

It depends on the players you are playing against. I am not sure I like this all-in raise based on the cards you are playing. If you are playing a NL tournament this strategy will get you in trouble unless you are using it in the right position against a low stack. If you are going all in with a tight player to your left, they will only call if they have a good hand and fold if they don’t, so you don’t have to risk this much to take down the pot. If you are holding 10 10 and you get two callers your chance of winning is 40% and if you go heads up your still at about 50% as most will not call with junk. I would start using a big blind multiple as a gauge. For example 6x BB or 10x BB and using the Pot X for flop, turn, river. Example 1.5x total Pot

I don't like going all in pre-flop, except if you have a middle pair, you are in late position and trying to steal the blinds. With big pairs you are going to scare out callers, and loose money in the long run if you go all-in. For small pairs and face cards, you are taking a big risk. For this later situation, I would raise aggressively to narrow the field and hope to get a good flop. With that said, I don't like going all-in period as it is a desperation move. Depending on the type of game (tournament, small stakes, loose players etc.) you can really get burned by some crazy/lucky person.

Well, i play constantly poker online. I am not sure about how many call stations there are in real gambling but I will tell you my opinion. I would go all in on an ace card and face card as a kicker, and face card pocket pairs. I found this website a long time ago, which I found helpful for online tells and real life tells, also they list some good, ok, and great starting hands. Hope this helps.

it depends. if you are the short stack at the table going all in with 66-jj is justified. but if you barely have started a tourney you might want to make a standard raise not a huge one incase of an overcard or a reraise after the flop. u dont want to be pot committed because u raise so much pre flop that you cant get away from the hand.
