Sinus congestion. The fluid from your sinuses gets trapped in an area where your sinus passages meet your ear canal. If it stays in there long enough, it becomes stagnant and becomes infected, so your ear infection comes from the inside.

You cannot get an ear infection from loud music. There is a reason it is called an "infection". You can damage your ears with loud music - but loud music does not carry fungus/bacteria into your ears.

no, you can only get an ear infection from the common cold/flu. Symptoms such as sneezing, couging, sore throat, runny nose.

And you can also get an ear infection from not drying your ears when water gets in them.
