I must say men and women are complementary product of our creator, they are of significant to one another.
Practically if we want to luck at it in an human perspective we will say allot on this, how ever bellow are some basic reasons.
1,,, For companionship.
2,,,,The purpose of having a child.

I've just decided I've had enough. I think I just felt I needed a woman. Intimacy was nice, but looking at it, it's just not worth the headache. The manipulative little tests, the double standards, picking fights, the expectation that I am a mind reader, etc. It all proved to be too much of a headache and just not worth it.
Sorry I'm no longer interested.

Are you serious?!? To be scientific about it; we are the two different sexes in a sexually reproducing species. Until a natural or scientific advance, we will most definitely NEED each other.

Men need sex and can do without caressing and caring
Women need caressing and caring
And can do without sex.
There fore both can meet their needs.

Pretty much men need sex and women need companionship. So men trade the companionship for sex and women trade the sex for companionship.

Because pheromones make them feel atracted to each other. Otherwise, you could get company, care, etc., from people of your own sex (talking about stright people).
