I was on the shot for a little over a year and did not have a period until I got off of it. I actually enjoyed being on the shot. I didn't have craps, a period, and didn't have to worry about taking a pill everynight. Most people I know that have been on the shot have gained weight; however, I didn't. Everyone's body reacts differently to birth control. You should talk to your doc about birth contorl options suitable for you.

Only two ways will stop your period completely. The pill and hysterectomy. I imagine the pill is more agreeable to you. Seasonale lets you have a period every 3-4 months.

Birth control medications are not period controls. They do not stop your periods from coming. They regulate your cycle, so that your periods will arrive at pretty much the same time each month, but they will not stop it.

You should use chewing gum and elastaplast over the offending area. This would certainly stop your period in it's tracks.
