Because Star Kist has a large tuna packing factory there and their headquarters are in Pelosi's district! You do the math! I so glad she is doing a great job cleaning up the House, she should look at her own house first!

There is always double standards, and should be when you are dealing with the economic stradegies. It was not the decision of the Democrat either, there is a two party system and both get in bed together on all issues. They just use one or the other to blame for king of the mountain theory, but it just ain't so. They are ajoined at the hip on all issues. But Samoa has no financial status like other states. They do not pay the taxes we pay here and to raise their money would offset their balance as an individual platform of economy. Until they have a better economic structure their numbers will stay the same. It is all numbers. Regardless of the Tuna factory that I read about that is nonsense, The fact the tuna company pays less that is good for the economy because if they pay more, tuna will be 3 dollars a can would you want that? They pay benefits and the minimum wage there is better because the money is cheaper there for things, like Mexico, which is good. Keep it that way or we will have no capitalism and the end resort will be communist, fascist , and socialist? eh? Also many Samoans go to Hawaii to work and there they make a handsome living, but it is way too expensive to live so they go back to Samoa, they live in Seattle, and LA as well and get better jobs too.

Republicans show their real skins. Is any republican smart enough to see that the minimum wage in American Samoa is a little over $3. Are you smart enough to realize that the present minimum wage is $5.15? Does that not mean that they have never been subject to the minimum wage? Have not the republicans been in charge for the past 12 years?

This has nothing to do with Pelosi or the dems obviously. It has to do with political ridiculousness. The republicans are desparate and are showing it.

Please don't forget that American Samoa has been an exemption long before Pelosi was Speaker. They didn't have to follow minimum wage laws when Republicans were in power, so why is it only hypocritical now?

It is actually an economic issue. American Samoa, although a territory, does not have a cost of living anywhere near that of the U.S. States. The idea, though put forward by Democrats, is not exclusive to any one party or any particular legislator. The idea is to maintain a certain stnadard that is, yes, a double standard.

I watch Fox information too (I have a tendency to lean left so i attempt to stability it out with a enormous dose of proper). yet when i'd communicate about, no individual actual stated she were given any marketing campaign contribution or kickback (Fox information in simple terms hinted at it). they did not provide any data, they did not outright say she were given one both. I heavily doubt she did get any type of reimbursement. Fox information is known with precisely who listens to them (far proper wing). they don't ought to assert that a lot (in simple terms lean in a particular direction) because they recognize their viewing target audience is searching for something incorrect and could make it up all alone if giving in simple terms the right help. If Nancy Pelosi says something, they could in simple terms communicate about that they did not actual say she did it. If that is what anybody believed; nicely they could not help that. in simple terms because StarKist Tuna is interior of the same city as Nancy Pelosi would not recommend they ever interacted. If Fox information is keen to go back out and outright say she did get a kickback and provides some data, i am going to believe it then. until eventually that factor, i do not think there is an actual tale the following (in simple terms Fox information doing what Fox information does). they are about as honest and balanced as my a**.

Why did 80 republicans vote for the same bill? AS has MW laws that are more complicated than the US Federal MW law. It needs to be addressed by seperate legislation.

Probably to avoid destroying the economy. I've noticed that every time the minimum wage is increased, the cost of living goes up even more. Get ready for large increases in the price of absolutely everything people...LOL

Because a liberals "compassion" is only a ruse. They are the champions of "the poor" only as far as their votes will take them.
After they've won the election, they've gotten what they wanted (power) and their constituents are free to go to hell.
