hey all i am a songwriter and in the middle of writing,i need some inspiration and was wondering if any of you could think of some titles i could use as songs? I like random words and phrases that don't have to go with the song.I write from the heart,i have the lyrics but just need some titles as for me titling them is the hardest part.thanks.

Try using a thesaurus web site. Try giving the song a title that conveys the mood, not the story of the song.

Keep them short, no more than 3 or 4 words that form a real picture in the mind.

You could try the old David Bowie way - write words and phrases on slips of paper and pull them randomly out of a hat.

I wrote a song called The Music Man once. I'm sure you could use the title since there were three different The Power of Loves in the charts simultaneously in the 80s

Maybe if you posted a link that would allow people to read some of your lyrics, it would be easier for them to suggest some song titles. I've tried songwriting a few times myself, and found titling the songs to be one of the hardest parts. Anyway, here's a few random titles I came up with...I hope they help.

-One For Normal
-Score One For The Rest Of Us
-Hiding Behind The Open
-Living By Getting, Life By Giving

Again, I hope those helped.....Good Luck!!!
