No. I think he uses drugs.

Absolutely not, he got what he deserved. He didn't help his cause by 1) going into seclusion following his retirement, and 2) giving his lame testimony before Congress on steroid use. In some ways he is being the scapegoat for the steroid controversy because he's the first notable Hall of Fame rejection but his moral character is being questioned and rightfully so. His incredibly low vote count was surprising, making it very unlikely that he'll ever be elected.

You posted this in the basketball section. I personally think that electing a baseball player to the basketball hall of fame is the sort of thing that would really undermine the sanctity and honor of the hall of fame, and lessen the accomplishment for people who have ever actually played basketball. So I'd probably go with no.

no, outside of home runs he doesn't have a lot of hall of fame worthy numbers
only a career .260 hitter, 1600 hits, and no MVP's or anything
his only HOF worthy stat is home runs and that is extremely tainted with performance enhanced drugs confirmed on him
his low votes where not surprising although to take this a step further I think Bonds gets in without a doubt as he is just too good all around to overlook.
He could get 3,000 hits before he retires (with a good BA), could be the all time home run leader, 7 time MVP (very hard to ignore) and he was already a lock for the HOF before any bulking up rumors
Bonds will probably be the first rumored athlete with drugs to get in out of this group but he'll be affected with not as high of votes as someone with his numbers deserves

Yeah because now, nobody from the steroid era is ever going to be elected, meaning that there will probably be no hall of famers going in to cooperstown for a while.

There is lots of suspicion he used steroids. If this is proven...then no. If it is found he did not use drugs, then by all means, he should be voted in. Then again, when he was chasing the record, you have to admit it was a very exciting time in baseball. lets face it, whenever he hit a home run, or whenever Bonds hits a homerun, people were/are cheering like crazy.

Absolutely not. Without actually saying the words he admitted to cheating. Likewise Bonds should be banned from the game effective immediately. It's obvious he's a cheater and him and Mcgwire should be behind bars.

If he'd been forthright in his Congressional testimony, yes. But what he said is gonna keep him out for a long time.

No, I don't. He openly admitted to the use of steroids. He broke the rules and should not benefit from it.
