What if I wash the salt off?

The salt seeps into the shell and seed, so even washing off the salt it will still be really salty. I'd stick to unsalted nuts and seeds.

That said, I doubt ONE will hurt it. They DO sell salt licks for rodents... so it's not like salt is toxic or anything. But still... I'd avoid it.

Your hamster might like that, yet that does no longer advise that's a competent factor to do nutritionally. i'm particular one won't kill it. Their cheek pouches are very soft spots for hamsters, so that's a competent thought to observe what is going in them. rather of seeds/nuts, I advise introducing greater culmination, greens and vegetables.

no salted...not even if you wash it off...the salt gets through the shell into the seed....just unsalted is good they like those

Not a good idea, I found unsalted seeds at a regular Pathmark, its not hard to find, usually next to the natural dried fruit.

I say salt them up, It's good for them.salt doesent dehydrate them, salt makes them retain water.

NO! That much salt will dehydrate him at best, kill him at worst. Use unsalted nuts and seeds only.
