Don't clean up after him and spend your time in another room if it is too bad (your bedroom or office is usually a good choice). Not having to see it all the time may make it less an issue for you... eventually he will get sick of the filth and pick up.

So are my cats, and you will have just as much luck as I will getting them to do the dishes. :)
If you both work 40 hours a week, then you should both share the housework. Tell him that and that you are only going to do as much work as he does. Once things start piling up and getting really nasty dirty, he might change his mind. If he just expects you to be his slave, then dump his lazy ***.

If you ever figure out how to "fix" a lazy man, write a book. It'll sell like hotcakes!

He won't change .
You can ignore it and learn to live with the mess ;
or
nag and still live with the mess -because he won't change..
or expect it ; clean it up and get on with your day .

mine too, but if you love him you'll just accept it. I'm sure you have personality traits that he could do without. Just love him.

don't enable him by doing things for him...eventually he'll clean up or do what has to be done...as long as you don't do it for him.
