Yes go to the Animal Rights site, Google it and research there,
Or go to Federal levels as well www.usgovernment.org
Idaho is a fascist state anyway, you should do something and I will too. Wolves are beautiful and necessary they should move them to another open area besides Idaho, we ship all other things then we can ship them too. Idaho was the only state that voted unanimously for that old man Bush Sr. right after they had found all those skin heads up there. Neo Nazi territory, man they hate Jews and Blacks, hispanics et al. There is a place on the border of Idaho called Clarkston, Wa, and Lewiston, Id, they had a paper mill there and they accepted the Blacks for their employment but everywhere else they were like spots on a leopard. And walked very carefully. I have just read all the insults you got, I hope they are not Americans, they are an insult to this country. You as a young American should be interested in the rest of your country not just your own and that is commendable at best. And you are right to find out, you are not nosey. These ignorant people only care about themselves and they are not American in their ways. After all if we did not nose into the business of our own land there would be no Idaho we would have still thought the world was flat, etc., Get it? Keep nosing in that is American and those folks are the first people to complain when something goes wrong. When a woman is being raped outside their homes they won't dial 911 either, they make me sick

I live in Idaho and we are under a terrible situation with the wolves. The Canadian grey wolves were introduced to our area. They are much bigger and more aggressive than the wolves we used to have, whom our grandfathers all killed off for a good reason. A female wolf can have 2 litters of 8-9 pups per year, so that single wolf and her mate can turn into a pack of 50-80 wolves in under 2 years. They have decimated our elk herds and chased all the big game out of the high country. The deer have all moved into the cities because they are safe here, but they have become a terrible nuisance and are overpopulated. The wolves are slowly moving closer to the cities, and it is just a matter of time before they attack a child or adult. A pack of wolves can bring down a full grown bull moose in a matter of minutes. We need to kill the wolves as fast as we can before they completely ruin our food sources. If you do not like us killing the wolves, then too bad. We could bring a few into your neighborhood and then we will see how long it takes you to see our problem. Stay in California and mind your own business.

First understand the issue , see if it affects you or your state ,
understand the issue could be tied up in the courts for year, understand that it is none of California's business how another state want to legislate.

Idaho Gov. Butch Otter complained that wolves are rapidly killing elk and other animals essential to Idaho's multimillion-dollar wolves were reintroduced to the northern Rocky Mountains a decade ago after being hunted to near-extinction. They now number more than 1,200 in the region.

The head of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has said his agency would start removing federal protections from gray wolves in Montana and Idaho in the next few weeks. Once officially de-listed, the Idaho Fish and Game Commission will decide how many wolves will be culled through public hunts, poison baiting, aerial shootings or other methods.

The wildlife service’s proposed plan for de-listing would have to clear a lengthy public comment and revision process, and likely a spate of lawsuits from environmentalists before state fish and game wardens could draw up guidelines for wolf hunting.

The region where wolves would be removed from endangered status would include all of Idaho, Montana, Eastern Washington and Oregon and a small sliver of northeastern Utah.

As someone who keeps tabs on my native Idaho, the governor is correct in this case. The state fought wolf recovery for years but ultimately failed because of the deep pockets of the enviro-wackos in states like...um...California. Now wolves are everywhere and killing livestock FOR SPORT. They need controlled and if you think stopping the state will help, you're wrong. Idahoans know what's best for them and they will shoot, shovel, and shut up if anyone tries to stop them from controlling wolves.

Wow - I didn't realize that Cali was so straightened out. Must be nice to have your own state in such good shape you can worry about Idaho.

Trust me - Idaho will not appreciate your input. I live in Alaska, where we have predator control, and we hate it when outsiders who have NO idea what they're talking about try to tell us what to do.

Do you even KNOW anything about the proposal, or are you just acting off of emotions? Wolves can be a major hassle. Just ask people who have had their dogs eaten right in their backyard. Or people who have had their kids chased home from the bus stop. Happens all the time.

Wolves are one of the only animals who kill just for fun. They aren't cute and cuddly. Just ask a moose.

As for the idiot claiming I'm "anti-American" kiss my proud American ***. Animal rights groups resort to TERRORIST tactics to persue their goals. I know for a fact - we turned a group of those freaks into the FBI last year.

Check the Humane Society or PETA websites--see if they're taking action on the issue. You might be able to find stuff that's already going on that you can join.

I agree you should get educated on issues, but predators are a vital part of nature, and it's not right to upset the balance of predator and prey just because some cows are where they aren't supposed to be and wolves kill them. Most of the big stockyards used to be in Chicago, but they got moved out to Colorado, Montana, places like that to take advantage of lax laws and poorly-paid undocumented immigrant workers.

The meat packing plant owners make more money. But the workers suffer, the meat quality goes way downhill, people get E coli and salmonella and Creutzfeld-Jacob (mad cow disease) from tainted meat...and where does the profit go? Do we pay less for sh!tty meat (literally, meat with sh!t in it)? Hell, no!

Why are there angry cow owners in Idaho? Read Fast Food Nation and let your eyes be opened!

Try contacting the Humane Society of the United States (www.hsus.org).

They're probably already working on something similar, and you might be able to get some direction from them as to things you can do in your home state to spread awareness.
