Do whatever it is that you enjoy. Do you have children? If so you can take them out. If not then you could get together with family. If not that then go out with some friends. Stay home and make yourself a nice dinner, try not to think of your divorce. I know that's hard. Just remember, it takes time to heal from a divorce. Maybe this Valentines day won't be great but maybe NEXT Valentine's day will be great!

Its hard to say "go out" on that day because there will be a lot of couples. Try reading a book or visiting an animal shelter.

You could always rent some movies or try going to the library.

Good luck...and no matter how lonely it feels Valentines day has the same number of minutes as any other day, it will come and go before you know it.

Hey, you can make those lonely moments stretch out like they do in the dentist's chair by thinking about how much fun it is going to be the next time somebody rips out your still-beating heart and stomps it in the dirt.

And you can join an online dating service and date a bunch of people until it starts to feel like competing in a contest where the prize is a stay at Abu Gharib prison.

Wooo-hooo!

Alcoholic beverage of choice and a few favorite comedy DVD's. But be sure they're not "romantic" comedies, more like "Blazzin' Saddles", "Dr. Strange Love", "Repo Man", etc. It's not an evening to be out and about unless accompanied by your peeps.
Good luck. BTW, Valentines Day is very over rated.

I can only echo what others have said here. Get together with good friends and have a good time. Do something special for yourself.

And, it gets better. It really does. Don't focus on what you don't have but on the good things that you have going for you right now.

Take care.

Get a group of friends together and go out to a movie or something. You could also go shopping, that always makes me feel better.
