no actually quite the opposite.
isreals enemys are now public enemy number 1 according to america. isreal is the strongest middle eastern army by far. plus we have saudie arabia, kuwait, jordan, turkey, and Pakistan in our pockets.
it's more like the united states brought an end to the chance of a united islamist empire. by replacing them with western style secular governments, but time will tell
