Because voting is a constitutionally protected right and defined in the US Constitution. Drinking ages are a state issue and can vary from state to state. THere are some states that have a lower drinking age than 21.

You can't allow them to drink til they're 21, cos you've got to give them 3 years (18-21) to sensibly elect the right person to run the country. If they still want Bush after that, it's their decision.

I truly ought to disagree. death charges from lower than the impact of alcohol driving has decreased because the guidelines replaced. The regulation states 21 year olds is the minimum age reduce to drink and what percentage young ones already get their fingers on alcohol at 16? a lot of little ones already drink. Now imagine this, the regulation has decreased from 21 to 18, what percentage youthful little ones do you imagine will commence to drink, because it truly is an indication of "adulthood"? thirteen year olds and 14 year olds will commence to drink.

I could not understand that either. A person of my family was a MP in Germany at 18. When she came to visit us in the states we took her to a descent Night Club to celebrate. They refused to let her in at the door, and we were her parents! Is not that terrible ? They can kill at 18 but cannot go out with their parents ?

Pretty much because they hoped that kids wouldn't be so drunk that they'd vote for a person who can't tie his own shoe laces but is a bit of a laugh . . . . you say George Bush got in? . . . he started a war? . . . oh dear.
