Do you know any woman that's not a submissive lesbian who calls her female friend "sir"? Besides that, they both had stereotypically lesbian haircuts and while Peppermint Patty may just have been a "tomboy," the other evidence is too much in favor of her being a butch dyke. For example, her constant teasing and eventual mental demasculating of Charlie Brown.

Seth McFarlane of Family Guy fame evidently thinks they are as they were depicted as lesbian lovers in an episode of the show.

The only piece of evidence to the contrary is that "Peppermint" Patty sounds like a stripper name, and while strippers CAN be lesbians, most are not.
