If you didn't invite him to have sex with you, he's guilty of attempted rape and can, and should, go to jail. Put him there by calling the police and filing a report.

It's a bad, bad situation. If you ever will have sex with him, you are going to hate yourself for that forever. It's very shameful. Try to avoid him or you will have a lots of troubles and problems in your life.
You must tell him that if it's happen again you WILL tell about it to your sister and family, which will destroy his relationship, so he must think hard before doing something like that.
You might talk with your sister about that only if you sure that she will believe you and you wont make an enemy for life.

As a male....he'd be in traction at the local orthopedic ward. As a female? I'd tell my husband...pronto. As to saying anything to his wife...well.....that may backfire and she may side with him and accuse you of seducing him and thats what led him to it. Or she just may not believe you and condemn you for it. Thats usually what happens anyway. Howevere the down side is when he does it to someone else and she finds out..and later you tell her that he did the same to you she'll be pissed because you didn't tell her.
So...that being a no win situation, tell your husband. If you don't have a husbnad...do not put yourself in any situation where you are alone with him. It'll be your word against his.

If that doesn't work,
Then push.
If that doesn't work,
Then scream and run away and phone the police.
If he is holding on to you,
kick, bite flail, anything. go for the balls, the eyes, neck, whatever. If he threatens you, it is likely a bluff so just whack him.

Steer clear of him and dont walk run away..... Also tell your husband about this too.... Do not allow yourself to ever be alone with your brother in law either.....
