I was interested in a guy who was not at all interested in me. He had another girlfriend. I was praying God to let me have him. In the meanwhile, his younger brother was so much attracted to me and was always trying to be friends with me. Finally one day he proposed to me and I said yes. Now we are happily married where as his brother had a divorce 2 years ago...

I also had the same "dream" of BEING WITH MY DREAM-GIRL.
Looking at the possibility from the OUTSIDE of the jar, I can view each situation from a more rational perspective.
And "Oh..if I had only invested in ENRON stock when I had the chance..." - See the end result?
And "What could have developed from my intention to become a GLOBAL REAL ESTATE MOGUL when that theme was echoed through the hallways of the Rich and Famous"? - That idea hit bust only after a few months time!

Gosh, I've had so many unanswered prayers over the years. And I've had wonderful answered prayers as well. I remember wishing for a certain kind of husband or someone in particular that I've wanted to be with forever. I'd often prayed about these. But you know what, they didn't come true. God knew what he wanted for me and it all worked out. I married someone who I thought I'd never have an opportunity to be with. And I love him more than I thought I could love anyone.
Something I heard in church a few weeks ago- God knows the desires of our hearts. We don't have to pray for them or even ask for them. He knows and he meets our needs regardless.

There is no such thing as an unanswered prayer. Your prayers are always answered, they just might not be the answer you wanted at the time. I'd like to think that the answer you get is the one you are supposed to have!

I almost bought a house that was about to cave in.
It was a split level with dormer windows, rocking chair porch, white picket fence - the way I like it.
The night before the I signed the last contract I dreamt my deceased mother telling me to pass on it.
I drove by 6 months later and the new owners were rebuilding it.

Mine is very similar...I asked for a certain guy but God said no and I'm so glad. He truly knows what's best for me. I think of those times I didn't pray about a decision and those are the times I made some very poor choices!

once i prayed sooo hard that i could have one day to spend with my grandfathers. one died 5 years before i was born and the other one died almost 1 year after i was born. i just wanted to talk and see what they were like. i have learned that over the years my grandfathers were a little bit mean to my parents. i'd still love to know them and have a real relationship with them... but i guess i wont know til i die.

I think that my mind is progressing all the time when I am praying. It results some kind of tranquillity: let it be, what it shall be...
