i really need to know cause if you dont do anything with the points. cause if you dont do anything with the points i am not about to keep answering questions

I agree w/blunt honesty. The reason they put points, is for you to participate in answering others questions. Everyone knows that humans like to be challenged. Just a way to grab our attention, cause we always like to prove to everyone else we are the best. What were you hoping to get a prize, money, a trip?

Far as I can tell, just use it to ask new questions...lol. Can't remember where, but I remember reading a point advantage chart. Hit "answers home" at the top right underneath the search and you should be able to find links to it

You do nothing with the points except watch them go up. The answering aspect can be fun, and getting picked "Best Answer" is a pick me up. No need for rewards, this is all for fun.

If you were answering questions just for the points, then you were probably guilty of "point-gaming" anyway.
Some of us answer because we genuinely want to help our fellow Yahoo! users.
If you want someone to give you something for your points, go check out PokerStars.Net instead.

They are used mostly for bragging rights. I have however, received a refrigerator magnet from Yahoo for being a level II.
