That's what recommended if you're not very active/trying to lose weight. 2000 calories is for a moderately active person. There's all sorts of calorie indexes online that'll ask you questions about your lifestyle and then kick out a target calorie consumption.

hi its actually too low try for 3200 calories a day with exersise take a multivitan and drink 40 onces of water a day stay way from starch and sweets

For an active young girl NOT ENOUGH!
In fact, it sounds like a good average amount for someone if you're not doing too much. If you're physically active you definitely want to up that. And men, you're going to have to up that even more to meet your metabolic requirements

i'm 5'8ish, 130 lbs and i eat around 3000 calories a day... i might have a really high metablism though... they say the absolute lowest ur supposed to eat is 2000 calories...

It depends on BMR (basal metabolic rate) and the amount of exercise you get daily on top your your body weight and height.
