If you can afford the surgery and know the risks and have realistic expectations of the result then go for it.

It would depend on how unconfident I felt, what part of my body it was, the type of surgery required, the cost of the surgery, the risks associated with that surgery, success rate of surgery and after effects of the surgery - eg: will you be left with scaring that could make you feel worse?

Yes, have the surgery, but be careful about the doctor you choose, or you may regret it. Be sure to get a top notch doctor, not someone from a list or an ad.
