This is from a charge was I was young and stupid(very stuopid) but i was wondering if you needed a lawyer or if you could do it yourself, having this on my record is keeping me from getting a job and i would like to get off of welfare and support my family on my own. any help would be great.

A lawyer is of great help but the presentation of your petition is your call. Make good your petition so that your record will be expunged.

Go to the courthouse of the county you were accused and visit the records dept. Pay approx. $65 to have your record expunged. You can only do it in the county you were accused though. MI

In cali you have to fill out a form then go in front of the judge and just ask him.
