This is an extreme version of PMS. You should talk to your doctor about your symptoms. There are medicines on the market that help with this stuff, and no they're not all antidepressants. YAZ (the birth control pill) was recently approved by the FDA to treat PMDD (Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder) and there are other medicines available as well. See your doc!!

It sounds a lot like PMS- pre (or post) menstrual syndrome. Most menstruating women experience. It is caused by the hormones in your body changing when you get your period. If you talk to your general practitioner or ob/gyn, they may be able to prescribe for you a medicine--usually a low dose of birth control to manage the hormones--which should lessen your symtoms.

There is nothing wrong with you. Just the normal hormonal changes. Try to eat nuts, fresh fruits, and vegetables, and drink a lot of water. That should help with your skin problem. The good news is that it gets less bad as you get older.

It's pefectly normal to get "hormonal" before, during, and after your period. What you are experiencing could be PMS, or something a little more severe, known as premenstrual dysphoric disorder or PMDD. Please check out this website pmdd.factsforhealth.org. Your doctor might be able to help you feel better. There's nothing wrong with you hon!
Good luck!

Are you on birth control? I'm asking because the particular pill you're on could contain too much estrogen. Talk to your doctor. And by the way, there's nothing wrong with you. It may just be the medicine.

Agreed. PMS. You get it when your period is nearly finished, too? I'd still say it's just hormones we all get that time of the month.

it's the hormones changing in your body, if you want, talk to your doctor about it and he might suggest putting you on a light pill ( birth control) and that usually help with all this
