Before Christmas I ordered some shoes on line, they arrived and I paid for them. Christmas day I decided to wear them and found one was a size 3 and the other a size7. I`ve now had them replaced. Also I bought some slippers in Marks and Spencer whilst visiting my brother, when I got back to Devon I had two left slippers.I telephoned them and they said I could exchange them in my nearest M&S in Devon. How can we be so stupid?!!!

No I can't say that this has ever happened to me. I wanted to buy a pair of cream suede boots about a year ago but they were slightly different colours as the display boot had faded a bit, so I didn't bother.

I check shoes really carefully before I buy so this doesn't happen. Also I rarely buy shoes if I can't try them on first.

I guess I would take shoes I wasn't happy with back, after all they normally cost far more than I wish to pay in the first place!

before holidays went into a sports shop and they had nike beach shoes for sale at £5 in my daughters size this was in may time and holiday was in july so put them on her and got to walk up and down store ,she had no need to wear them until the holiday so on holiday put them on her one was size 9 (her size) and other was size 12 and both where for the left foot .The box was on display in the shop with the two shoes in it and the only pair left so i think someone out there has the other two.

Yep, I have hundreds of shoes. and I am well aquainted with the shoe mess up scenerio. I have had two left, 2 right, one of totally differnet shoes, and once was sold just one boot! Had to go back and ask for the other one!
