the question was ; ''why some people act evil?''
one of the answer was ; ''Bad childhood, no father, no mother, alone, never learned how to behave, short temper, high anger, anger issues, no love as a child, a stone heart. You have great parents who taught you right from wrong, and gave you a lot of love. ''
i want to make it clear, my parents taught me nothing. i don't even have good relationship with my father, family is NOT an excuse for being unfair and evil. i taught myself. there is no excuse for being bad, ignorance is NOT an excuse. i forgive people who act evil, but still ignorance is a choice not an excuse.//

for the same reason that people eat meat and vegans don't. vegans are mortified by people eating meat. in fact they might consider it an evil act. but us meat eaters don't mind or don't care even if the vegan screams SIN! it's a frame of mind.

Simple answer to original question:
People act "evil" because it benefits them more than acting "good".
What is an excuse to you is a reason for another. A very common case is a person who craves attention as a result of childhood (or adult) trauma. They will perform "evil" acts because the attention they get from doing so is beneficial to them - they get the attention they crave. Someone with low self-exteem may be violent because being violent is the only time they feel that they are in control.
You got some good answers to your original question. You didn't ask if motives that make people do evil things are rational. You simply asked "Why?"

You are right there is no excuse really, we all have free will and some are more conscious of this than others.
Evil acts will hurt us the most. They are self destructive. They imply a repressed anger at feeling unloved, a lack of self respect, lack of self love, and a temporary disconnection from the goodness we all have inside.

Yes what you have said is true. However with the world the way it is influence is very stong. Television video games all kinds of things cann ulter a way a person acts, including drugs&depression. If there is someone evil around you find a way to stay away-there's not much you can do besides offering your support people have to make their own choices.

Sometimes people act evil even when they are not really evil or doing something evil.
They do it in the movies all the time, it is for our entertainment.
You don't need good or bad parents to do it you just need a good drama instructor.

You sum it up in the last line in your self-editorial; "(Ignorance) Evil is a choice - not an excuse."
The crux of Society molds each (our) own attitudes on life and how we deal with it. Consider that some societies view ambition as a Positive attribute, whereas other societies (cultures) condone the thought of "moving up the ladder of life."

For some, child hood is the reason why they are evil, for others, it is the way of life they have chosen. Basically, it comes down to psychology, and how people deal with life experiences.

Actually, family can be the blame and is usually the blame. Kids are a product of their environment. You had the ability to learn on your own. Some people can't.
