My mum has a fish tank and she keeps two African Dwarf Frogs. They can be so comical to watch, and if you get your friend a male and female, the male will sing after about 9 months.

i agree with Pennyless, unless u know that ur friend wants a pet and exactly what pet they want, u could b making a terrible mistake for the pet.

A toad? Garden snake? Jumping spider? Mouse? (we have a lot of those) Tadpole shrimp? (found in puddles) Butterfly? that's all I've got. Good luck finding one!

We used to have a hamster and she was great fun. You can handle them, get a ball which they go in and can then roam around the house, and they are clean and inexpensive to keep.

if your friend really wanted a pet they would buy one themselves why don't you buy them a plant you can get something called an air plant you never have to water it or look after it but if you really want to but them a pet you can get these fake puppies they look real like they are asleep but use batteries to make a motor move them like they are breathing merry hill and similar places are good to get them from but let them get their own pet...

i have a cute little tree frog. i bought him at a pet store though. He does have to eat live crickets however so that could be a problem for your friend.

First off, if you do not REALLY know your friend wants a pet....don't get one for them. If you really must have something find a slug.
