My paternal ancestors were originally from France, but went to Germany to escape religious persecution on the early 1200's. There is actually a town named Bias in France.

My maternal ancestors were English/Irish. Some of them came to America in the 1830s during the Potato Famine.

The earliest I can go to is Vikings invading Normandie in France (so I guess I'm from Danemark). Then, they travelled around a bit, but still in France. They then moved in Quebec during the French colonization.

Father's side: Finland Oulu- area. Family name was changed at Ellis island.
Mother's side: County Cork Ireland. Emigrated ca 1850 (no doubt due to the potato famine.)

I had an ancestor who was a Portugese fisherman who went to England with the Romans. His family settled in the West Country. In the 1600's, 3 brothers setlled in Jamestown, VA--they were mapmakers who charted the place the Pilgrims were supposed to land.

My great grandma on my moms moms side was sent here from Ireland and her future husband was from there too and my great grandpa on my moms dads side was from Poland and so was his future wife and my grandpa on my dads side is Cherokee so i guess hes from Siberia or somethin... ^_^

My mothers father's family lived in america, they are cheerokee native american, my mothers mother's family moved from ireland when my greatgrandmother was a girl. my fathers father and mother's parents came from germany and england. what interests you in family history?
