They don't have enough customers to stay open as a single store and the same company that owns KFC own Long John Silver and Taco Bell. We have a Taco Bell / Long John Silver restaurant. This way they don't have as many buildings to rent / lease / own.

No, they are owned by the same owners, which is the YUM corporations. They own restaurants like (A&W, Taco Bell, KFC, Long John Silvers, Pizza Hut), and so far overall is doing just fine. However, Long John Silver's probably wasn't doing so well because of it's lack of advertisement and limited locations.

Long Johns Silvers, KFC and Taco Bell are are owned by the same company-PepsiCo. The big cost in fast food is the kitchen with specalized equipment. Thus if they combine restaurants they pay less per square foot for rent and can offer more food options thus increasing profits.

I think that people are more beef oriented than fish oriented, although I believe that fish is a better choice. I've always liked Long John Silvers.

I didn't know it was. I'm going there tonight for my bi-annual visit. I can't take too much grease, but the fish is soooo good I have to buy it at least twice a year.
KFC should fail. It is always dirty in their stores. I wouldn't eat the food if it was free because of the grime.

because not enough people have been suckered into wasting their money on food that will make them fat. they need KFC's support, along with every other fast food chain in the world.

#1 - Location, location, location.
#2 - Poor marketing. Go around and ask people you meet to name a product/offering from their menu. Wait for silence, a lost look or something....

I would hazard it is beacuase most of their menu involves fried something. People are trying to shy away from the extra fat.
