cons:
1. may break down sometimes
system itself looks great, i have one and its auwsome. it hasent broke down once, and ive owned it for almost a year. and for those ppl who r afraid of buying an XBOX cuz it might brea down, dont worry, microsoft's warranty is 1 year now, instead of 3 months, and the store u buy it from can get up to 4 years of warranty. i got mine with 4 years warranty.

I was just talking with a co-worker today about how the XBox 360 is more than just a next gen console with regards to graphics. If you can get it properly installed on your network it shows you the next step forward in gaming as an experience and gives a glimpse into the future of home entertainment.
It's not something that I can describe easily, but I actually "like" my XBox 360. There's a certain fun aspect to starting it up and deciding if I should play a little arcade game, or maybe a full on 360 game, or maybe I don't want to do either and I'll putz around the marketplace downloading demos, movies, or themes.
I have rhapsody on my computer upstairs and I can download all the music I want and play it from my XBox 360.
It's the whole experience, not just the games. If yours doesn't break you'll be enjoying it for sure.

My friend's X-Box 360 randomly stopped working. The lights will go on it'll sound like it's on, but nothing will work, even though everything is plugged in correctly.
Also I was playing on an X-Box 360 in a department store and it kept getting shaky with the more intense graphics.
Those are the cons. The only pro, Halo 3, still might make it worth while.

I just got one about a month ago, while the technology is great, some really great graphics, I have been a little disappointed with the games available. I have a few, Star Trek Legacy, NCAA Football 07 which are really good. Others such as Madden 07, Over G fighters(Game is so bad I can't even remember the title), Project Gothem Racing 2, are sub par. Fight Night Round 3 has the most incredible graphics I have ever seen but it has very limited replay value.
All in all I think it is a great machine, but I don't think we have seen it's true potential yet.

Just be careful handling it. Alot of people had a problem with the X-Box reading the disks and it's because something on the inside got misaligned. I guess that's the only cons I can think of, just be careful when opening/closing the disk drive and when transporting it to places to. Save up for an X-Box carrying case too, if needed.

not that many "great" games(no halo 3 is not gunna count, but thats my opinion cuz i despise shooters)
controller gives me blisters, im not sayin it will give u blisters but it seems to not fit my hand as well as the ps2 controller does, and for u xbox ppl out there, the ps3 shuldnt change controller, cuz why change perfection? the next xbox needs a new controller design however because of the size and misplaced gripping

Shop all the games first with all the other gaming systems. Who ever has the most types of game you will be playing will be the system for you.
