now THIS is something i know about. right. first hing is, to get a friend code, you need to know where to go. on animal crossing, talk to the dog at the gate, and he will give you one, but if you are using mario kart, just go to wifi connection and get friend code. then, you can go to forums on the internet (i suggest ign.com if using animal crossing, great site)and then they give their friend code, you give them thiers and you are done. then you go to the gate (in animal crossing of course) and talk to hopper and he will ask you if you want to connect to another ds. select 'nintendo wfc' and then it will search for open gates for you to go through, into another town!

i know this explanation is a bit jumbled up i did it fast

oh, and dont get the original nintendo wifi connector, get the datel wifi MAX dongle as it is cheaper and way better and has more features

I think what you are talking about is fot Animal Crossing:Wild Worlds. You either need a wireless connection in your house or a USB connector to plug into both your DS and the computer. You would have to talk to Booker, who is on the right of the town entrance gate, to get your code, and then ask a friend for their code(if they have one). If you both have connectinos and friend codes, you can visit eachothers towns via internet connection. A Wi-Fi connection booklet should also have been included in your game, as well as the DS itself.
Good luck getting it to work!
