The Allison Trans comes in the 1000/2000 series, T series, HD series,MD series, depends on what your going to use it in. It's one of the most reliable heavy duty Transmissions ever produced. I've even seen them in heavy equipment that runs for ever and at the end of the shift they are still running to change shifts only to be shut down to fuel and service. They have special designs for School buses for easier use by any Driver and they last forever.

They operate just like any other automatic, they're just much bigger, stronger and more durable. go to howstuffworks.com for more info on how transmissions work. They have manual, automatic and CVT present.
