I'm afraid so.
Take the person's hourly wage, times it by 2.5, and then consider if they would leave their hair curly if they were offered that amount to do so.
Life's too short to be spending hours a day for the sake of vanity.
2.5 hours/day = 2.5/24 ~ 1/10. Average lifespan = 75, so 75 * 0.1 = 7.5 years/life fiddling with their hair.
If you only count the time you're awake then it's over 10 years/waking life.
Time enough to do 2 PhDs.

it sound like you need a new way to straighten your hair.. i spend an hour tops to straighten my hair. You need to get a better quality straightener :) You really do get what you pay for when it comes to straighteners. I use the maxiglide and it works wonders for me... a word of caution tho... you have to use that one EXACTLY as directed... otherwise you can damage your hair. But it takes me an hour to blowdry and striaghten my hair so it sounds like you are working too hard to get your hair straight. I would also suggest using a smoothing and straightening hair line... I use the paul mitchell smooth and sleek and it works wonders especally if you use the serum that goes with. ALSO give your hair a day off once a week so you don't totally fry it :) Good luck :)

When I was younger I hated my curly hair and I would spend hours straightening it. When I look back now, I wonder what I could have done with all that extra time lol.

Depends on how you want to spend your time. I have very curly hair myself, and I've learned to love it. Be happy that your aren't spending hundreds of dollars and hundreds of hours sitting in a salon getting perms. Of course, if your really enjoy your 2-3 hours of daily straightening, then go for it...

That's a bit extreme and a huge waiste of time and energy!
I mean if its that curly that it takes her that long to straighten it, wouldn't it just pop back to being curly or simply just go totally fizzy in humidity?
I have very very curly hair, but I don't take anywhere near that long when I want to straighten it. And I don't straighten it everyday, that's just damaging to your hair!

Yes. Go to the salon and get Japanese Hair Straightening. Then, you won't have to spend 2-3 hours doing it every day.
