This is on the page where you enter the random letters and numbers before you download the file. I just wanted to know whether downloading from TeliaSonera when it has 3604 mbit/s or from Cogent when it has 8908mbit/s would download faster. Thanks!

It means how much of the overall bandwidth of that
server is currently in use. Usually it doesn't affect your
download speed since you're chances to fill the rest
are like a snowball surviving hellfire. Rapidshare selects
the server with the least workload by default. In most
cases that should be the best choice unless you know
a specific one of them is right next door. Then it might
make sense to switch. Otherwise it won't affect your
download at all.

Wrong.

The lower number would download faster

It's the amount of MegaBits currently in use for people downloading, the lower it is, the more of the remaining bandwidth that will be channelled towards you.

Just choose the one with the closest location and lowest number, type out the 3 character code and Download.

It won't change the speed of your download
on either link.
It's just showing which download link has how much traffic
on it which can cause delays in information transferred
but usually the download speed remains the same
to your PC no matter how much data transfer is in use already.

If X has 8904 mbits in use and Y has 3604 mbits in use, use Y. It has more available bandwidth.
