Most people have a hard time remembering whats to the sides of them, let alone having to deal with whats below and on top of them.
If cars could fly, the airline industry would go out of business again and for good this time. The government invested too much for that to happen! Plus, we would have people crashing not only into trees but buildings and things.
Disaster. Plus can you imagine fuel costs????

Think about it dogg,
With all of us flying through the air, do you know how unsafe that would be? There would be so many mid-air collisions and deaths it would be terrible.
The government would have to set up air roads and traffic signals just like on the ground. It would be awful and very time-consuming.
I doubt we will see flying personal crafts in our lifetime.

In a word, no.
History Channel did a "Modern Marvels" on failed inventions. On the "aircar" (which was really invented) they said one thing that answers your question: to drive the aircar, one would been BOTH a driver's and a pilot's license. Think you can do that? I know I can't.

People cant drive cars on the ground... You think its wise if we let people fly them?
