How do I read trouble codes on a 94 Subaru Legacy. No wires or light on ECU as suggested by others.?

There is a connector under the dash on drivers side. Obd 1 connector?? If so, how do I read codes? If not where the wires that are supposed to be under dash--color??connector?? And where is the LED on ECU????

You will have to go to a dealer because they have the scan tool.It is a special one.

you need a speical scanner to read the codes. the scanner plugs into to the connector. if you go to autozone they should scan your car for free, it is OBD 1 from 1996 on cars are OBD 2 with a few cars in 1995 being OBD 2
