I bought a used iPod from eBay since my old one got stolen at the fair. I bought it and it worked perfectly fine- great battery life, excellent condition, and it even came with songs already on it!!! I go home and decide that I want to add some of my favorite songs on there and all the songs are gray. I try to click on them and they don't respond....i try to click and drag songs in to the iPod but it won't let me. My brother had a used iPod too and I works fine with my computer...all the iPod help websites don't work...I need help!!!
Is it that it was used or should I download a new version of iTunes!? I just need help~!!!!!!

hmm, i think the ipod is designated to work only on the previous owner's computer. Try to restore the ipod, then you can add your own songs. You'll lose all the songs that were already on there, unless you rip em out of there first. (backing them up is another can of worms)

u must down load the CD that came with the i-pod.that is how they keep them from being stolen . and if they didn't give u the CD that came with it then it was probably stolen. and if so they now know where it is
