I have 2 computers--on one, i do not have to enter the www in a web address, on the other I do. Both using IE7. Ideas? Thanks...

Check your Hosts file, your DNS recorders, see if you've checked 'insert WWW'

Are you testing the same addresses in both browsers? Usually this depends on site itself, and where the domain is hosted. Most servers can read the address without "www", but every now and then you'll find one that is in the dark ages. I've never known this to be a browser issue though, only a server issue (the other end of the line).
