Hi,
There is no owners manual to having children. You cannot confront him about his parenting because no matter what you say or how you say it, he is going to be taking it as criticism to either his parenting or his child. Are you a parent? If not, you have no right telling him how to be one either. You might suggest next time IF HE ASKS you, that maybe the way he is responding to the child's problems may not be working and maybe he should try another approach. That responding to her tantrums is rewarding her for making a big fuss. That next time he should reward her (and you should to) for acting like expected. It could be she isn't getting enough of his attention when you are around when she is being good and quiet and so acts like a monster when you are around to get some of Daddy's much needed and wanted attention. Pay attention to her and let her know that she is not forgotten when not making a big fuss. It cant hurt.

Tell him you don't want to act like her mother, but if this is going to be a long term relationship...you would like some say or authority when it comes to making decisions and dealing with the brat. Good luck.

first, how old is the kid/ how old is he? does the kid live with daddy? need many more details.
she is probably jealous he has YOU in his life and she feels insecure. if she truly is a brat, and he keeps spoiling her...not much you can do....try being nicer to her, be her friend....make her feel like you are NOT trying to take her daddy away....include her in more things......
if it dont work....you and he will always be fighting over this.......may be time to move on.
