My Way's good, though for all the people who say the song is their epitaph, their actual life seems to be nothing like the song, like the quote from the Arena programme in the early 80s when a bloke was asked if My Way could be his theme tune said 'Yes, I've always obeyed my parents and kept within the law...' etc. Which seemed to be the complete antithesis of the idea of the song. Always look on the bright side of life from Life of Brian is a good all-rounder. Believe by Cher was played at a funeral for the lesbian lover of someone who died, good words although I can't stand the song myself (especially the gurgly bits).

I went to a funeral once and they played a song called I'll see you in my Dreams. I literally cried all the way through it. The words meant so much. I'm sorry I don't know who sang it but it was beautiful. I will never forget it!

I quite like "Memories" by Gladys Knight and the Pips. It was my father's favourite and was played at his funeral and my mother requested it in the planning of her funeral which we had recently. It's so poignant.

Over The Rainbow - played at all the recent funerals I have been to - I think people like it as it is melancholy yet hopeful.
