I was an attorney for a class of inmates incarcerated in prison. I visited death row several times as well as maximum security prisons.
What was entertaining about it is that my job changed from day to day. I met new people who had different and "exciting" crimes to tell me about. Please note the quotes.
I have a HUGE file folder of love letters and cards from my numerous "boyfriends" as a result.
Scary but exciting job. You actually forget you're sitting in a locked room with a killer most of the time.

I used to work for our local newspaper, that was very entertaining at times with some of the people that used to come in for interviews, meeting celebrities, local hero's or characters was always very entertaining and great for finding out bits of juicy gossip, no one was ever that fond of meeting the politicians or interviewing them except for the year we did a scanner appeal in our town and your hero William came in to present a cheque to the Mayor and almost got pounced on by one of the girls in the office who adored him, poor guy nearly had a apoplexy, I still have my signed photo that I had taken with William that day.

I used to issue hunting and fishing licences in Cheshire, but one year, a hunter did two things which made me lose my job. I issued him a 9am-6pm licence (which nly allowed him to hunt during those times) he fired one round at 16:25pm, that was the first nail in my coffin, the second thing he did, was with that one round, he had killed a Red Deer. We took him to court over this, and I lost my job because he said I had issued him the licence and he said it allowed him to hunt until 7pm, however, it turns out he was using an expired licence, and the Deer (accroding to him) looked like a Woodland Deer (he said this was because of the failing light and he couldn't see. (and this was in summer, it doesn't go dark until about 9pm during the Summer) still I lost my job because of him!
