Only when it comes to certain issues. But if you take stock of what politicians truly believe, every one of them are actually more moderate. They may be a little to the left or right of moderate, but they are all closer to the middle. It isn't a matter of ideology, it is a simple matter of re-election. If you are too far left or right, you probably will not get enough votes to get elected. Parties don't matter to me much anymore. I am a Republican, but I think that Clinton was an amazing president (As a political science person, I have studied our presidents in depth.) I also might vote Democrat if the Republicans don't find someone better to run, like McCain. Edwards and Obama (D) are great candidates.

no and its not the normal moderate democrats and republicans that are the problem. its the loud, obnoxious, screaming extremists on both sides that need to be carted off to an island somewhere. i don't see why moderates of both parties can't see through the crap these ppl are throwing...its all about money and power and the tragic thing is the politicians all win while the american ppl are the ones who suffer.

Extremes vs. Moderates.

It doesn't make sense to be a full-on democrat or full-on republican. There needs to be some middle ground. I mean, you can't completely agree with everything your political party decides.

Actually, it doesn't matter. The powers that be will always rule, and the people below the people in power will always have to abide.
