American Samoa is being exempted from the minimum wage increase.Making it the only U.S. territory not subject to federal minimum-wage laws. Nearly 75 percent of the island's work force is employeed by StarKist Tuna. The average wage for tuna workers in American Samoa is $3.60 an hour. Starkist Tuna is headquartered in San Francisco...Nancy Pelosi home town. The Democrats argued Americans can't raise a family on $5.15 an hour and the minimum wage must be raised to $7.25 an hour. Did a generous campaign contribution to one Mrs. Pelosi save a company hundreds of thousands in employee wages... Hm mm.. Where is the media on this one?

I'm at work all day , can't watch tv. So No I didn't get this from FOX but if they are questioning her decision, good for them other media outlets should be..The poor little U.S. territory of the Northern Mariana Islands didn't receive this same exclusion..and its known for its sweatshops..

Maybe you miss understood-Pelosi is the Democrats pick for House leader so it seems She doesn't care about the star kist employees wages staying at $3.60 . The Republicans are questioning it , so why are the Democrats so closed mouthed about it. So as a Democratic supporter should be able to enlighten me , not take a jab at the Republicans.

I watch Fox News too (I tend to lean left so I try to balance it out with a massive dose of right). But if I may point out, no one actually said she got any campaign contribution or kickback (Fox News simply hinted at it). They did not provide any evidence, they didn't outright say she got one either. I seriously doubt she did get any kind of compensation.
Fox News knows exactly who listens to them (far right wing). They don't have to say that much (just lean in a certain direction) because they know their viewing audience is looking for something wrong and will make it up on their own if giving just the right help. If Nancy Pelosi says anything, they can just point out that they didn't actually say she did it. If that is what everyone believed; well they can't help that.
Just because StarKist Tuna is in the same town as Nancy Pelosi doesn't mean they ever interacted. If Fox News is willing to come out and outright say she did get a kickback and provides some evidence, I'll believe it then. Until that time, I don't believe there is an actual story here (just Fox News doing what Fox News does). They are about as fair and balanced as my a**.

The media will never never question Pelosi or any other Democrat. They are in love with each other (the media and dems). They will also never post any stupid pictures of them either. They will post thousands of pictures of Bush in not so flattering poses, just to make him look stupid....but they won't do that to Pelosi.

You omitted a mandatory component to the tale. the certain quote of the apology. "I exhibit regret for having repeated a note i detect disgusting," Maloney suggested in a fact. "it is not any excuse yet i changed into so stuck up in relaying the tale precisely because it changed into informed to me that, in doing so, I repeated a note that shouldn't in any respect be repeated." It changed into not suggested in direction of everybody or as a descriptive note like republicans use it. So no there is not any double common contained in the media it truly is basically yet another get mutually of republican crying "undesirable me"

Of course Pelosi won't get asked. Neither will Boxer for ridiculing Rice for being single. It's typical Liberal media biased and hypocrisy.
