Pedialyte. It will keep them from getting dehydrated. Juice is not really ideal because all the sugars may make them get more dehydrated.

The biggest concern about sick children is that they become dehydrated due to vomiting and diarrhea. Pedialyte and Gadorade have the electrolites that help the hydration process but it can be pricey. I know that Pedialyte also has freezies which is nice for fevers but my doctor said that regular freezes would do and not cost as much. Also suitable is clear soups and diluted juice.

If they are still vomiting, any drink may just be vomited back up. One solution to help dry mouth etc is to just rinse the mouth out with water. Water is actually the best thing to drink because there isnt anything in it that a virus can use to live longer. You have to leave a virus to die off naturally so almost everything you eat and drink will carry it on longer.

Flat coke - I was told this by a paediatrician. It has electrolytes, salt and sugar, which a sick child needs. But it must be flat.
And it takes good, too.
Oh and give it to them in small doses, if they're still vomiting. A tablespoonful at a time. Little and often.

Flat coke it has a small amount of anti-vomit drug in its contents, but it must be flat and sadly for the kids at or near room temp, but they must sip it not gulp it, although they can have a few glasses. Worked for years on our little un, hope your not too covered in sick, it really is nasty with one kid, cant even begin to image what its like with more. Eeeeeekkkk also nothing to eat for at least 24 hrs

Yet another vote for Pedialite, but if they won't drink that, try small amounts of Slim Fast or Ensure -- they are very similar (they rest is just marketing, really). Sprite, 7up or another clear fizzy drink might also help settle the stomach.

My children won't touch Pedialyte. I tried it, it's gross! If your kids will drink it, that's great. To save you some money (in case they won't), I get another electrolyte solution from Walgreens that is on the same isle. I can't remember the name of it, but my kids WILL drink it. It looks like little juice bottles. Hope this helps.

Dioralyte. You can mix it with juice or flat coke to disguise the taste. And also try to get them to eat a small amount of dry toast or toast with only a small amount of butter on it. If they have been vomiting for 24 hours or more, you need to contact the doctor.

Good luck.

If they're picky give them flat coke diluted with half water. They use it routinely in the third world for rehydration - cheaper than rehydration mixtures and works really well. Children don't have to be forced to drink it either.

Ginger Ale is the best thing. Ginger has stomach calming properties. Only give one sip every 10-15 minutes until they start to keep it down. Sorry your kids are sick : (
