Being overweight can add to extremely heavy periods and really uncomfortable bloating and cramps. My first time started light but gradually it got heavier. It's normal. It's not werid, everybody's body is different. Just don't let this happen when I was in junior high I had my period one day and it was so heavy because I was having so extreme cramping that I ended up flooding myself it was embarrasing but I got to go home because it was close to the end of the day. If you're cycle is heavy too the best pads to use, and I would advise pads before tampons because tampons if you are not familiar with them maybe uncomfortable the first time you use them. Plus there are many issues that can occur using tampons, they say not to leave them in overnight you can up to 8 hours, anyways back to pads. The overnight pads are extremely good and helpful. The always with the wipes and wings are good wings are helpfuly because they stay stuck to you're underwear until you want to remove them. Try whatever works for who their is a variety out there.

No worries hun. Mine was super heavy when i first got it. Your body is just not used to what is happening, and your probably a little shocked to.

After you have a couple of them your body will get used to it, and so will you. No body wants to get there reg but you do get used to it.
