1. He's sending more troops to Iraq (mostly for Baghdad)

2. He's planning on executing "seek and destroy" missions within Syria and Iran to try to stop the support they send to militias.

3. He is NOT planning on executing "seek and destroy" missions within Saudi Arabia to stop the support they send to militias.

4. He is deploying Patriot Missiles which are useful against long range missiles and aircraft. He did not mention that the insurgents in Iraq DO NOT HAVE long-range missiles or aircraft. (but Syria and Iran do)

5. He also moved a second Aircraft Carrier group to the region which is not very effective in house-to-house fighting, but could be effective in expanding the violence from Iraq to Syria and Iran and any other country that supports, arms, bankrolls, and trains insurgents.

More of the same with a dash of more death and destruction. I'm not kidding.

Actually it does kind of sound ;like he is sucking Iran into the mess so then Iraq will be forgotten about when Iran start to kick its feet.
