Roommate time. I have had lots of roommates. I'm the owner and like to receive the extra cash and have some more activities in my home. There are some really creepy places and some really nice places. Keep looking until you find the right one for you. Be sure to stay close to work so you save on gas or bus. A nice safe area with a nice lady, I wouldn't recommend you room with men. Not that they aren't nice, but it will worry your parents and bf if you have one. and I always worry about the hidden nanny cam.
Good luck, save your money.

Maybe a situation where you're a caretaker for a house? Also, I know of an organization where elderly people share their houses with younger people, who agree to do lawn work or something in exchange for reduced rent--maybe there's something like that by you? One other thing, if there is a college near you, go over there because they always have lots of listings for rooms for rent or house shares.

Look into renting a room, at a private residence rather than a "rooming house" until you can build up your credit reputation. In the future you can use your landlord/lady as a reference.

Search for a rooming house. The average rooming house costs you about $50 a week and if thats too much there is always the homeless shelter. Its free to stay there, however, they don't allow you in until 10PM and they put you out at 8AM
