YES TOTALLY !!!!!!!

(and in case you are wondering I am white).

Here's what happens.........

Some White people (more than likley on a local council) - "Em, well there are a lot of Asian / Black people in our area - If we call CHRISTMAS, Christmas they MAY be offended"

COUNCIL STATEMENT "We will re name CHRISTMAS to WINTER TIDE so's not to offend Asian / Black Community"

JO PUBLIC "HOLD ON - WHY DO WE HAVE TO RENAME CHRISTMAS? WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE OFFENED BY IT - WE DON'T MIND THEIR SPEICAL HOLIDAYS ETC........"

Black & Asian Community "IT WASN'T US - HONEST !!! NOTHING TO DO WITH US - WE DID NOT SAY ANYTHING - WE DON'T CARE ITS CALLED CHRISTMAS."

Understand what I am saying !!!!!!

And sadly its starting to go both ways - I had an Asian lad apologies to me because he said "White coffee" when I was in earshot !!!!

I think that PC is a load of Bollocks and had gone mad and is making things worse for EVERYBODY !!!!!!

Changing the language to fit liberal policies is counterproductive. We should all respect each other as fellow human beings and putting aside certain words because they might cause offence will not make us respect someone more or less. If I respect you, I don't need to describe you as black, coloured, afro-carribean or any other word to describe your skin tone. If I don't respect you, any word I use to describe you will be offensive.

As far as the blackboard thing goes, I suspect someone made this up. Most people tend to use whiteboards (with felt tip pens) these days, and as a white man I don't find that offensive. I've only ever met one person whose skin actually was the colour of a blackboard. She was Ethiopian and gorgeous.

simply by fact White isn't a race. white is a epidermis colour. the united states of america is created from imigrants, the only real individuals interior the united states of america are the community individuals. a guy or woman who's mixed asian and white, does not have a white epidermis colour, and that they wouldnt answer their race as being yellow the two, in the event that they reported i'm ecu, or swiss, or another race the place they are white, it could in all danger sound greater appropriate. thats the appropriate clarification i'd desire to think of of.

The PC phrase that I am deeply offended by as a white person, is that they have grouped white and Caucasoid people into one group. Anyone who understands the bible would Know that the Caucasians were descended from the 10 tribes of Isreal that became scattered abroad and passed over the Caucas Mountains in they're migration. Not all white people are Hebrew descendants. In their effort to not offend, They have tried to take away my ethnic identity.

A think they probably have, as every time we're told not to say this or don't do that in case it offends some ethnic minority we tend to get a bit pissed and blame the darkies or pakies for it even though it's almost certain that it's some white tosser who came up with the idea

well calling people whitey could be classed as racist I'm white but dont find it offencive your right they dont ask black people what they think, though its like you cannot sing baa baa black sheep but the milky bar kid is always white with blonde hair it works both ways its just a way for people to cause trouble by trying to offend other people my skin colour is just that i dont find it that Important unless I'm paler than my mates then i go on the sun bed lol and if people stoped going on about it maybe other people wouldn't either my best mate is asian and we never really chat about racism we make fun like she ll call me chalky or milky and i ll call her a Punjab but we never mean it its just a bit of fun for us we both laugh and i wouldn't change it, it might be offencive if someone was to hear us or if we said it in the street like i rally took offence when a man at her work place called her a paki and spat in her face but not because he was racist but because it was my friend

People have a lot of misconceptions. The best you can do is educate them.

For a while, several of my friends called me a "European American" because they thought I'd find the term "white" offensive. It goes both ways. Best of luck!
