Was president, would he be responsible for as many death's as President Bush is? Would 9/11 had ever happened, I mean since Gore probably would have read the security briefings and had a plan to prevent it?

A wonderful question to speculate upon, and while we will never know, it's a delightful prospect to contemplate. Certainly appears that almost 30,000 Americans wouldn't be dead, maimed or wounded, to say nothing of the countless thousands of Iraqi's who would still be alive. There are those who believe that Gore would have been more interested in stopping any terrorist attacks, and would definitely not have been off on vacation after a briefing on a potential attack on America. There would probably be more investment in solving global warming, a much quicker response to Katrina, and a more equatable apportionment of tax cuts. Yet, it's fantasy to ponder what might have been.

9/11 would have happened if Al Gore was President. If you read the 9/11 Commission Report, it basically says there was very little Bush could have done to actually prevent the attacks. We would still have gone to war with Afghanistan in response to 9/11. I don't think we would be at war in Iraq right now if Gore was President.

Why do you think Al Gore could have stopped 9/11 ?? Bill Clinton made NO effort to stop Bin Laden. 9/11 took three years to plan, which was mostly during the Clinton term.

If Al gore were president we would be in talks with the Taliban, while Bin Laden still ran Afghanistan.

Yes, but the deaths would be in America. 9/11 plan was hatched on Clinton's regime. Gore would have read the security briefs and hid in a closet, if he could find one not crowded with his comrades. Gore can't make plans. He's a liberal!

I'm sure many things would be very very different now. I don't know if 9/11 would or wouldn't of happened though. But I do know our Country, The United States would be much better then it is now.

But I do hope Al gore runs for president again and not be cheated.
Everyone in my family would vote for him an me aswell. I'm sure every intelligent person would vote for him, aswell.

I know we wouldn't have over 3,000 dead American soldiers if Al Gore was President.

We might have had 9/11 - that was probably inevitable. But we would NOT have Iraq. We would have sent the troops into Afghanistan and ferreted out bin Laden instead of looking for non-existant weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Gore & Clinton not doing their jobs, is why we had 9/11.

If Al Gore was president, we would be facing East now, with our prayer rugs.

President Gore WAS elected but not allowed to serve by the Dumbya Coup. I think his service would have led to innumerable better outcomes than we have now.

Would 9/11 had happened? Of course!! Bill Clinton did a really good job of preventing it, I think you underestimate the power of the Bureacracy, and its influence on policy, and how fast decisions are made.
