Where did your family come from? My maternal Grandmother is half Welsh, half Irish, and my grandad's family has lived in the same town in Kent as far back as records go (where I live now) my paternal Grandmother is from Devon, and that grandfather is from Oxfordshire, and i think his dad was Dutch. Thats about it, no interesting places, but where do you come from, since there should be some americans on this site, there may be something more exotic.

ancestors bearing the family name landed in Virginia in 1645, family grew and spread southward as population changed and indians were eliminated. Being from Georgia-USA our earliest ancestor here was in 1795.

Family names has spellings in English, French, Dutch, and Italian. DNA tells us that we migrated from the Armenian area of Turkey into Present Europe 3000 years age.

Unfortunately, my heritage is uncertain, as I am not sure how my ancestors arrived in America, they may have come in chains. My mother's father was Italian American, and they came from Virginia, her grandfather was from the Blackfoot tribe (so I am told) and had 14 Children with his wife. My father's family hailed from the Memphis, Tennessee area (maybe I am related to Elvis!), but that is all I know. That is one reason why some black people are still bitter about slavery, a lot of us do not know anything about our families past our grandparents.

I speak spanish.I am dominican (from Dominican republic)...other than my family,my country is mixed with 3 races..Taino Indian(during colombus's arrival),African, and Spanish. From both sides of my parents, most of my family are Mulatto(wht, blk, and indian background). And some are white, and some are black. But if u look at us,u can see the 3 races in us.That goes for some blks there too.they are considered blk,but they have a little finer hair texture..after all,im mistaken for middle eastern sometimes..our transcultural process started around 1500's.its a long story! lol

My father was mostly German, if there was anything else, he wasn't sure.
My mother was German, Irish and Indian, and a fraction French; the problem is she didn't know how much Indian because in those days in certain areas it was a hush, hush thing, just like if you had black in you. It wasn't supposed to be known.

Both of my parents were German, their parents were german and their parents before them were german...etc.

My brother married a half-cherokee, my sister married a black man, I married a Peruvian, my nephew married an asian girl.

Guess our generation broke the tradition lol.
