Nothing much. It was another one of those "I'm still here" and appeasement speeches. In a nutshell, the new strategy includes Iraqi pledges to send reinforcements to Baghdad, let US forces arrest suspects without interference, and spend 10 billion dollars on reconstruction.

Well folks, I really dropped the ball on this one didn't I? But, don't give up on me - I want to see more of your sons and daughters killed so that if this endless war ever ends, I'll look good. So to accomplish that - I'm sending in more troops - more targets if you will, heh, heh. And someday, the oil will start to flow - but that will only be after I have my war with Iran and Syria as well. Lots of people can die in that one, heh, heh. Bring it on!

Basically he was saying it's going to be a long time before we're out of Iraq and he thinks he's come up with a good strategic plan to help our troops get out of there.

That he was finally taking some blame to it not being the most well thought out plan, then stating that we can not back out because it would impower terrorist, and that he was sending more troops to attept to tie things up and make the final push for the iraq government to take over military control.

What Shayna and courage said. Make no mistake, he did not admit to or apologize for any mistakes either. He only said mistakes were made....what an unaccountable p*ssy.

My Fellow Americans,
I used my best judgment in deciding we needed to go to war in Iraq. It hasn't worked out too well. My bad.
Now my best judgment tells me we need to send 20,000 more troops to Iraq.
Trust me.
